About us

Dammsee Mills is a mill based at Dammsee in The Osmoor. The company was founded on 16 October 1813 by Bertil Rademann.

Dammsee Mills, purveyors of oats and rye meal by the sack, have carried on business at Dammsee since the founding of the house. We supply the household, the trade and the regiments on the same terms, and our word has been our bond since the first ledger was opened.

Our founder. Bertil Rademann, carpenter, was born at Ostrabruck on 25 August 1783 and died on 27 July 1852.

Our history

The company's books have been kept at Printer Street since the registered office was fixed there, and the timeline below is compiled from them and from the press.

1. 1813 The company is founded at Dammsee.
2. 1813 Dammsee Mills is founded at Dammsee by Bertil Rademann. In the press.
3. 1838 Dammsee Mills lists on the Vellmar Exchange as MTF. In the press.
4. 1840 Dammsee Mills is acquired by Osmoor Fuel. In the press.
5. 1840 The company ceases trading.

What we do

Dammsee Mills operates in the milling trade, serving Dammsee and the surrounding country. Particulars of current lines are available on application to the registered office.

The house supplies oats and rye meal by the sack. Samples may be seen at Dammsee; terms cash, or approved bills.

Dammsee Mills is quoted on the Vellmar Exchange as MTF since 1838. Last year-end close: 24.94 marka (31 December 1839). The Exchange publishes year-end closes only.
